“Nature, a Matter of Honour – Volunteers in the Parks”
In the “Nature, a Point of Honour – Volunteers in the Parks” project, you will find opportunities to volunteer for the conservation of nature. In teamwork with full-time conservation area professionals, you can actively contribute to preserving valuable ecosystems, plants and animals. Besides the commitment to nature, the common goal is to do something meaningful, get to know new people and have fun, as well as expand your knowledge and skills set.
All ages with or without prior knowledge can participate. The job opportunities depend on the interests and abilities that the volunteers bring with them: There is the possibility to help rangers with their duties in the protected area, i.e. maintenance of the visitor facilities or practical support of species and biotope protection; or to take on tasks in the office, public relations work and environmental education. More information about the opportunities within the “Nature, a Point of Honour – Volunteers in the Parks” project can be found here. Otherwise, you can find more information about the nationwide programme here:
“Do something meaningful, get to know new people, have fun, expand your knowledge and skills set, actively shape the environment and world around you: If that sounds good to you, then you are in the right place – whatever your age and level of experience. In many national parks, biosphere reserves and nature parks in Germany, the National Natural Landscapes, ‘Volunteers in Parks’ are on duty: in teamwork with full-time conservation area professionals with the common goal of preserving valuable ecosystems, plants and animals.
